Another Opportunity

At the beginning of any argument

At the beginning of a thought of a fresh birth of any kind

Wholesome or unwholesome, sensual, ill, or violent

Whether an arhant or an ordinary worldling

Neither I, nor mine, nor self, nor soul, nor impression of any being either

And if no approval of the argument

If just letting go of the action at the moment

Impression of unwholesome then, not even at the end

Otherwise, the transfer of unwholesome characteristics of the process

Transfer to the person of indulgence, at the end

By some affection or even repulsion

The vicious cycle of becoming into the action

In direct analogy with the moment of retaliation

And the person of participation as an agent

Although impossible for an arahant, such a participation

And for an ordinary worldling, almost bereft or exceedingly difficult such an opportunity
