Sweet Fragrance Of Samatha

What a fragrance of Samatha!

A healing, more than a guardian

A bad day, or some confusion 

Boredom 🥱, or difficulty,

Life in poverty or in riches

Homelessness, or a debt

Just need for breath, but not pride of life

Or bad kamma of any kind

For bad kamma or loss of virtue,

No samatha until the effects of bad kamma,

Bad kamma effects, lifelong, shorter or even higher,

Like the murder of parents or an arhant, injury to Buddha or schism in the sangha,

The reason, why? Sweet fragrance of Samatha,

In actuality, the fragrance of virtue in action,

The fragrance of virtue, higher than any other kind of fragrance

Whether lotus, sandalwood, etc.

Vipassanā, the successor of samatha,

As a guardian for samatha as well as virtue

May 2026 be the year of fragrance for all

Neither flowers, nor artificial but of virtue
