Why dhātu anupassanā

Everything, everywhere, only through perception and without instruments,
Four primary and one secondary element as the building blocks,
Easy for remembrance, less load on the mind,
More focus, less confusion,
With the contemplation of aggregates,
The aggregate of rūpa, the body as the four elements,
The aggregate of vedanā, the three kinds of feelings,
The aggregate of saññā (sangyā), the numerous kinds of perception,
The aggregate of saṅkhāra (sanskār), the ten kinds of basic volition out of a total of fifty,
The aggregate of viññan (vigyān), the six kinds of consciousness,
A real-time contemplation, a round of the lokā, the experimental world,
Like the Kartikeya with a peacock,
First start with the rūpa, as the basis of everything, likewise for the whole universe,
Suppression of tangle of tanhā, the craving,
For sharpening of the blade of Vipassanā,
The presence of deathless if the mindfulness direction rūpa, the body,
Only then clarity of path to destiny,
Because of presence of all resources mind as well as body,
