Dhātu
Pathavī dhātu solid, soft, hard and hence resistance,
So, when no need for change, Prithvi Dhātu,
In the manner and through, a look at the pathavī object in contact with the eye, touch or tongue,
Āpo dhātu, fluidity with cohesion,
So, when need for motion or change but retention of volume, āpo dhātu,
In the manner and through, a look at the āpo object in contact with the eye, touch, tongue or ear,
Vāyo dhātu, motion, vibration and support,
So, when need for change concerning time, or support also, vāyo dhātu,
In the manner and through, a look at the vāyo object in contact with the eye, ear, nose or touch, or tongue,
Tejo dhātu, degree of hotness and cold,
So, when need for change independent of time,
In the manner and through, a look at the tejo object in contact with the eye, ear, touch, or tongue.
Ākāsa dhātu, the space or emptiness,
So, when need not obstruction,
In the manner and through, a look at the ākāsa object in contact with the eye, ear, touch, tongue or nose.
