Contentment: The Water Snake again

Highest wealth for material things?

Poison for spiritual things?

Material things mainly 4 essentials

The shelter, food, clothes and medicine

The manasikāra (attention) of the strengths of others and weaknesses within

A sign of superiority and vice versa

The motive of progress, not material but spiritual

A lookup of weaknesses within, a sign of poor contentment, too, towards spirituality

A motive for the rise in the zeal for spiritual progress

Comfort even in a meal once a day

Comfort even in a rag of clothes

But no comfort with an immoral mind

No comfort with a happy state of mind

Unless the accomplishment of the quest for deathlessness

But the use of dhamma for selfish matters

A matter of a wrong grasp of the water snake, too

Water snake, the dhamma

Wrong grasp when no contentment in material things

The extraction of a part of dhamma, for use in worldly matters

A worldly matter like the revenge 

A worldly matter like indulgence in sense pleasures

Indulgence in sense pleasures with the accumulation of wealth

And until the accumulation of wealth, no pork of contentment

Wrong grasp of the water snake …
